Earlier this year an Andy Warhol silver silkscreen image of Elvis sold for $37 million dollars at Sotheby’s contemporary art sale in New York!!!
I'm trying to figure out exactly what t is art. That’s the question I have asked myself millions of times. You have the art snobs who look down on you if you think a painting made out of paper cups looks dumb. Then again those same people will see a mural in the inner city of the Mona Lisa as being so low class.
Then you have the people that think every scrap of paper is art!
It’s like wine. If everyone likes a wine and you don’t they say it’s because you don’t understand the complexity of the grape. That still doesn’t change the fact that it may taste like sugary cough medicine!
I think the definition of art depends on who's in power and who controls the population. That's why the works of Andy Warhol are famous and generate tons of revenue no matter how silly they are and the works of a Black painter or sculptor goes unnoticed. Unless it's Black History Month!
Maybe that's why I know about Renoir, Van Gogh, Da Vinci, Rembrandt, Picasso, and Monet but for a million dollars it would be hard for me to name five famous Asian painters.
After working hard all day there are times when I feel I should just make a painting out of liquid paper or paper clips and sell it to bunch of dumb entertainers for millions and then just sit back and watch the money pour in!
Isn’t that what Andy did?

This is something I have never heard of but there have been some inmates on death row who say if they are executed it would be cruel and usual punishment.
A man in Ohio, who's scheduled to be put to death by lethal injection in January said if he's executed it, would be a "torturous and lingering death". He's 480 pounds and he feels the execution gurney might not be able to hold him. He claims his weight, vein access, scar tissue, depression and other medical problems raises the likelihood his executioners would encounter severe problems.
His lawyers have already filed papers with the federal court last week. So far the prison department hasn't released a statement. There probably too busy laughing at this ridiculous excuse!
It may sound silly but one death row inmate actually won his case!
In 1994 a Washington state judge took a 400 pound murderer off death row because the court agreed that hanging someone that heavy would constitute cruel and usual punishment because decapitation could occur. The inmate eventually died of liver disease in 2006. He had murdered two bank tellers Twila Capron and Candace Hemmig at point-blank range in a 1981 robbery. He got away with $4,000.00.
However, in 2008, federal courts rejected arguments by a condemned double-killer whose attorneys tried to argue that the prison food and limited opportunities to exercise contributed to his weight problem that would make it difficult for the execution team to find a viable vein for lethal injection. He was 5-foot-7 and weighed 267 pounds. He was executed later that year. He was responsible for killing University of Akron students Wendy Offredo, age 21 and Dawn McCreery, age 20. Him and another loser beat, raped, tortured, and choked the women to death. They also carved X's into their abdomens.
I purposely didn’t use the names of the murders because they already get too much publicity. The more they kill the more famous they get. If these losers keep complaining about being obese why don’t we put them on a real strict starvation diet !!!!!!

CNN feels the President Obama’s DNC speech last night was great and Fox News feels he made more promises he may not be able to keep. So what else is new!
If you love Obama and are currently employed his speech was just icing on the cake. If you’re unemployed you may be asking yourself do you cross your fingers and give him four more years. If you’re a Republican you probably, like Romney, didn’t even bother to watch the speech at all!
The speeches are over. The balloons have popped, the confetti has been cleaned up, and those who attended the conventions are back to their regular lives.
Now the real work begins!

I’m not a big Bill Clinton fan but I must admit last night this guy had me sold! He could sell ice to Eskimos!
His DNC speech gave Obama the boost that he has needed for quite some time.
He quoted Ronald Reagan and had some kind words to say about George Bush. Who else but Clinton can have thousands of Democrats clapping enthusiastically for both Reagan and Bush!
He asked the crowd were they better now than they were four years ago. He answered the question for them. He said; No. Is the President satisfied? Of course not. But are we better off than we were when he took office?" A lot of other Democrats have been afraid to answer that question and Romney has been using that question as his key campaign message.
Clinton is urging all of us to give Obama four more years to turn things around. He made the argument that no other president, including him could have fully repaired the economy in just four years.
For the most part his speech didn’t focus on Republican bashing or a lot of corny jokes but focused more on the current issues and that won the crowd over.
Some reporters are even saying that Clinton’s speech saved the Obama presidency last night.
I don’t know about that but I do know that Obama does owe Clinton a BIG thank you!
