I have made an observation. I’ve noticed if you're not into Valentine's Day's then you must be bitter, got dumped, don't have a significant other, etc.

It's like when you're at a party, people find you interesting and then when they find out you're not married the tables turn. They all let out a sigh and instead of finding you interesting they now feel sorry for you and wish you the best of luck on your search for finding Mr. or Mrs. Right.

How many times have you gone to work and seen the over sized flower bouquets and the big giant balloons and wondered who's idea was it, your co workers or her husband / boyfriend!

Let’s talk about the men. These poor souls! They dread this day and try not to even talk about it because they know no matter what they do there will be no satisfaction.  A lot of Men are not as touching feeling as women. When it comes to gifts they don't know how to match the tissue paper with the gift bag!

Tonight someone's credit card is going to be charged for an overpriced Valentine's Day dinner at a sub-par restaurant!

I think men would enjoy this day more if they weren’t under so much pressure to try to compete with other husbands / boyfriends.

When I see all this drama unfold I just sit back and take notes. Whatever happened to the simple gifts like wild flowers, a favorite book, and breakfast in bed? Today it's all about showing off.

And before you ask, no I'm not a bitter old woman. My ovaries are getting rather dusky but their still in working order!  Do I have a man? Maybe :o)

If a man brought me flowers at work I could then join the rest of the blissful devotees who are faithful disciples of St. Valentine!

Who knows, maybe one day I'll convert!

Have a nice night!
