THE FAKENESS OF IT ALL

We all have done it. You’re at a dinner party and someone says a corny joke. Everyone laughs and for a split second you’re frowning slightly, looking at all of them in amazement because you know it wasn’t funny. But you realize in order to be “polite” you force yourself to chuckle slightly and include a fake smile. You may even get creative and throw your head back when you laugh!

It’s the same thing celebrities do when they go on the morning and late night shows to promote their latest projects. If you’re sitting across from Oprah with millions of people watching you and she says something unfunny you still have to laugh right?

Fake laughter is found everywhere. At company meetings, weddings, anniversaries, and even the White House.

I’m sure some of the richest people in the world have let out a fake chuckle every once in a while. Can you imagine all the fake laughter that goes on at Buckingham Palace!

So the next time you find yourself in a situation where you find fake laughter necessary don’t try to fight it. Just throw your head back and let it all out!
